Chiara has a list of accomplishments to her credit. She's been featured in events like the Myrtle Beach Home Show, redesigned the interior of the Dunmeade residence (now called the Elms residence, built in 1924-26 English manor house), has been arwarded the Myrtle Beach Herald "Designer of the Year" for the 2nd year in a row and now works as a consultant for many home builders. She was also a featured interviewee in the Coastal Carolina Business Journal. Please read the following excerpt...
Putting clients at ease is something Chiara is very good at. "I like my clients to feel comfortable," says this open and warm interior designer and artist who studied at the Venice Academy of Art. Venice is a long way from Myrtle Beach. "Once I vacationed here, I knew I wanted to come back," says Chiara, who has been in the interior design business for 16 years.
Although she holds cerificates from the Venice Academy of Art, it was required that she attain similar certification here in the states. "I love meeting and working with people," says this charming Venetian woman. "I like to get my clients involved in the design process. After all, it is their home not mine. I also like to work with pieces my clients already have rather than telling them
they have to purchase all new items." Does Chiara prefer one style over another? "I like eclectic - everything from contemporary to traditional to the classics. By mixing pieces, a room becomes much more interesting and inviting and livable," she says. She loves the interplay of color and incorporates them into her design plans. Chiara not only works with local contractors, but has her own seamstress and installers, making it easy for her clients whether they are refurbishing a home or having one custom-built. "I love to do it all," says Chiara. "From simple window treatments to complete interior design." She loves to travel and has clients from Wilmington and High Point, North Carolina to Pawleys Island. Included in her list of accomplishments is the renovation of a 1928 Tudor-style home in Conway.
